More than one-half a century earlier construction began on Magic Kingdom® Park at Walt Disney World® Resort, celebrated author Zora Neale Hurston grew upwards in Eatonville, Florida, simply 30 minutes from our tourism districts. Today, the historic town — i of the showtime self-governing African-American communities in the U.S. — honors Hurston's retention with the Zora Neale Hurston National Museum of Fine Arts, aka The Hurston, and the almanac ZORA! Festival.

Starting in 2022, Eatonville'south signature result is expanding to a yr-circular ZORA! Festival Season with three cardinal offerings, each of which is designed to appeal to both specific and intergenerational audiences: the 33rd Annual ZORA! Festival is a calendar month-long, multi-disciplinary, intergenerational event composed of public talks, conferences, moving-picture show screenings, arts education programming and more than.
